THE
PLOT
When the young
Tsarina Katya vanishes from the
cathedral in the middle of her wedding
to Prince Belugarov, there is
consternation at court. She has been
frozen in a block of ice by Wizard
Smirnoff, on the bidding of her jealous
sister, Gotya, who wants her throne. The
Prince and Katya’s Chamberlain seek help
in finding her from Charlene Chan,
private eye, and are astounded to
discover that Mrs Chan’s daughter Joanne
is the spitting image of the lost bride.
Joanne is persuaded
to impersonate Katya while a search is
launched to find her. Adventures on the
Frozen Lake, in the haunted Hermit’s Hut
and in the Wizard’s Ice Palace lead
eventually to the happy ending, meeting
on the way the over-enthusiatic Igor
Mortis, Vladimir the Vulture, Blowov the
Dragon and two over-age fairies.
A feast of fun for
young and old, in traditional panto
style but with a surprise in every
scene.
